1.18 The One with All the Poker

Summary:

Annoyed with her job at Central Perk, Rachel sends out resumes. She goes on interview at Saks Fifth Avenue, what she claims would be her ideal job. In the meantime, the girls and the guys play poker together, which the girls lose horribly. In attempt to best the boys, Monica invites her Aunt Iris over to teach them, but they still lose. During a poker game, Rachel finds out she didn't get the job she had applied for, and goes all in against Ross with help from Phoebe and Monica. She wins with a full house, and even though he lost, Ross is happy he helped her feel better. Chandler and Joey try to make Ross see that he's in love with Rachel.

This is probably one of my favourites from this season. I love Rachel in this, everything she does is perfect. Her bad typing, when she teases Ross, when she doesn't get the job... Overall the girls playing poker is just awesome. Like Pheobe: "YES! ... or no." and all the talk of the Pictionary incident.
To bad that's all we see of Aunt Iris, she seems like a really awesome lady :(

The best thing is Ross though, and how ridiciously in love he is. Makes me all fuzzy and warm.

I love this episode too, and it's one of the most popular from season 1, in many ranks.

One of my all times favorite! I started to get interested in Poker because of this one!
