Characters we didn't like?

The two that stick out for me are Emily and Susan.

Hated Emily from the moment she first appeared haha. It was a proud moment for me when Ross said Rachel's name at the wedding :p

And Susan.. there was just something about her I didn't like. I felt like she was always trying to push Ross out, and sort of "take over". I always felt sorry for Ross in those episodes, especially the one where they're having the first scan and Carol says they were thinking of "Willick-Bunch." :(

Yeah totally agree with you about Susan, but I don't know about Emily - I never really formed an actual opinion on her. At first I like her but as the episodes continued she started to really annoy me and in the end I sympathised more with Ross than with her.

Janine really bothered me, she reminded me of Emily in the way that they, both, didn't want their boyfriends' best friends around.

I'm also not crazy about Richard, he wasn't exactly hateable but he and Monica were just weird together, he seemed like a father to her.

You didn't like Kathy? I thought she was sweet! But I see why one might dislike her, though.

Mine would be Emily, Mark, Julie (there was nothing wrong with her, she just pissed me off), Janine and Mona a little bit. lmao pretty much anyone who stood in between Ross and Rachel, apparently. XD

Joanna - she was just REALLY annoying. Plus all the Sophie jokes weren't at all that funny.
Elizabeth - Ross dating her was just plain disgusting :/
Janine - irritated me with what she said about Mondler -.-

The worst character for me was Pete. He just... he didn't seem to really LIKE Monica, he just dated her because she was attractive and he was rich, which added comedy to the show. I never really found scenes with him funny, and he flaunted the fact he had money too much for me. He had no depth and it just bugged me. Richard was a much better match for Monica. (Mondler forever, though.)

I also didn't like Joshua or Tag. Joshua because he didn't seem to have much of a personality. He was just a pretty boy that Rachel had a schoolboy crush on, and he seemed a bit pointless. Tag was kind of the same, though he did have more personality. I kind of wish he and Rachel had kept their relationship strictly 'assistant & boss'- I enjoyed the way they "fought" in The One Where They're Up All Night.

I hate Pete too. He was dull and irritating. That whole untimate fighting champion thing was kind of ridiculous.

i've always hated emily! and charlie, probably a bit . :)) they're both so annoying, making their way into the group . LOL...

Exact same here. Everyone likes Rachel with Ross. Don't get me wrong, I like Rachel/Ross too but Joey/Rachel did so much more for my emotions. Surprise surprise, TOI Barbados is my favourite episode that isn't a major Mondler episode. The ending of that episode, with the scene and the music and the smiling and the "Oh" and my heart was pounding.

This is off-topic, I'm going to look for a Joey/Rachel thread now.

lol we definitely hijacked this thread, oops! I'll just quickly say Joey/Rachel actually make me feel something as well, whereas Ross/Rachel don't. And I agree about the Barbados episodes, I could watch that season final over and over :')

Back on topic, as for characters I don't like-- Emily, Joshua, and sometimes Carol.

I didn't like Janine. I just didn't, I don't know. xD

I LOVE Kathy. :( Of course, I didn't want her to cheat on Chandler, but before that I thought she was pretty awesome. :D

I don't have anything against Charlie, mainly because I don't ship Rachel/Joey AT ALL. I love them both and I loved that they couldn't have sex because their friendship was too strong. Love them as roomates but not as lovers. (But I have to say that in-love-Joey makes me wanna take him home and marry him because it's too sweet!).

I do not HATE Emily, before she went crazy I liked her. I don't like what she did (refused to talk to Ross and still bossing him around and then calling him one day before her other wedding), but I do understand how hurt she must have been. But I don't hate her. :D

And I LOVE Susan, I really do. :( She is so sarcastic and cute.

I guess I don't like Janine either.

Kathy was my favorite Chandler's gf, Monica not included.

Kathy seemed to be the only one who REALLY want it to be with Chandler, you know? She really cared about him.

I didn't like Janine and Charlie. Charlie was honestly boring, and Janine's being a dancer thing got old really quickly. Plus, I'm a major J/R shipper so.

Of the main six, I liked Ross less than the others. I mean, I like him, just not as much. He was jealous, controlling, he kept Rachel on a short leash even after breaking up yet he was free to do whatever he wanted (getting married, even!). He was funny sometimes but his whining got old. On the other hand, I loved that he was a scientist and that he was so devoted to being a good father.

Janine, Pete and Emily.

Janine, because she was annoying and stupid. She got crazy so sunddenly. That has always pissed me off. I really wanted to see Monica beating her up.

Pete was... silly. I don't like him with Monica at all, they looked ugly as a couple and then he got crazy too.

Emily. Oh, Emily. My relationship with her is of love and hate, because I liked her before the wedding. But then, she got crazy.

To sum up, I hate the characters that got crazy and made us crazy with them.

I remember really, really liking Emily when I first saw her. And I actually like seeing her with Ross, I did think they were a good couple and everything. And when they decided to get married I was happy. Sure, I didn't want it to work out because I wanted Ross to end up with Rachel and after seeing her sad about it, I wanted even more... But I didn't want all that trouble to Emily, I put myself in her position and... Well, I can understand why she got crazy (not the part where she wants Ross to move out and stuff, but the begginning of her crazyness). But after the mess she did with Ross and Rachel's friendship and stuff... Comes the hate part. xD

But Pete I liked. <3

Agreed! Emily did have her reasons. But she crossed too many lines.
