| Ross is stupid. Yes, yes, I know, they WERE on a break, Rachel made that really clear. But that's not the point. It doesn't matter if they had actually broken up because he knew that she loved him. And he loved her. And just because they were on a break, you don't just have sex with another person in the same day! He was drunk and sad, I understand that. But I only understand that because I "was there". I saw what happened to him and I know Chloe was just a nothing to him. But if I were Rachel, how the hell could I know that? The feeling you get when you find out someone cheated on you is the worst in the world. It doesn't matter why the person did it, because the pain takes every space of your thoughts and feelings. I do understand Ross, and maybe even Rachel understands him after thinking about it. When she gets mad for him talking about "we were on a break", I don't think she gets mad because she doesn't agree with him, I think it is because that really doesn't matter. All she wants is that he proves to her that she can fully trust him again. And when he doesn't, she gets frustraded, therefore she's mad at him.
Well, that's how I see the whole thing.

| The breakup scene in this episode breaks my heart. Not because of the characters-- I dislike Ross and Rachel as a couple-- but the situation Rachel finds herself in, man, I've been there before and every time I watch this episode it all comes back to me. I feel so much for Rachel. As for whether they were on a break or not/Ross technically cheated or not, that doesn't matter-- it just kills me. | |

| I do like Ross and Rachel as a couple, but other than that, I completely agree with you. | |

| I know this in an sad episode, but I love the jokes, like when we discover that Gunther tells Rachel, or the waxine jokes! xD And without this episode, we would not have the "we are on a break" jokes. | I don't know what to think, I can understand Ross's perspective but I wouldn't take him back either... Yes, they were on a break but he still screwed up. It's a terrible argument anyway, it makes me feel really bad.
I love the others in the other room and the waxine and everything! And also, the jar of Skippy peanut butter on Joey and Chandler's fridge is the reason I eat that brand. Good product placement.

| My favorite episode, along with The One With the Football. It's a sad episode, yes, but it is so well written and the jokes are really good, especially because they break the tone of the episode. I am for Rachel in the whole thing, but I also think she was a bit stupid for "letting" Ross hear Mark through the phone before. That kinda led him to lose it. | |

| That's true, she was stupid for letting that happen. And sometimes I think Mark did it on purpouse... I mean, think about it: He likes Rachel, he always did (he tells her that in a future episode, remember?), he knows Ross has this HUGE jealous of him, he knew about their fight and he knew it was Ross on the phone (Rachel was really close to him, I don't think he wouldn't hear her).
But anyway, she could have gone to the living room to talk to Ross... It would be a very privat conversation anyway, so... Still, he didn't let her talk, that's not mature at all. I guess Ross should have talked more to Joey and Chandler... They wouldn't let Ross do something so stupid.
