When you compare the first episode and the last one, you can see how much the show itself changed! I kinda miss is being like this <3

yeah there is definitely a different feel to it! I guess by the time it ended, the "style" of shows changed too much.

Honestly, it is hard to find a show now that is as good as the old shoes, like FRIENDS! Shows now are tasteless and hardly funny and original..

I know! This was like, really witty and some of these jokes required a certain knowledge and education now it's just manly sexual and pretty dumb imo :/

I LOVE Phoebe in this episode. And I love the fact she seems so daydreaming and mystical and cute. She changed a lot and in good ways, of course, but I guess this is one of my favorite Phoebe in the whole series.

That's why I love this show so much. It's clever and not obvious ( well, except the spitting, haha ).
I wonder how it was in '94, when the Pilot was showed for the first time, how people reacted to it...

You know, everytime I watch the pilot I notice how of a better actor David became afterwards. The first season is, for me, his worst acting in the whole show, even though basically the best Ross moments!!!! He's very known for his slapstick comedy and acting with his body to be funny, but I think he was just "acting" sometimes... I don't know if you guys got what I said, but it's different from Matthew, who speaks with his hands, elbows and everything! It works naturally for him, but in the first season, it didn't work for David so much. I guess he learned I lot throughout the years and became such a great actor! I'm not one guys, so this is just my crazy wonderingment hehe

Wow, that makes so much sense. It's true, as the seasons went by, everyone seemed more natural and as if these characters were the real them! but in this season you do notice a difference... Hmmmm.... Nice observation!

It was just brilliant. Chandler had so many great lines, "Sometimes I wish I was a lesbian ... Did I say that out loud?" and "And I just want a million dollars!"

I think the first episode is underrated.

Yes, I think so too. I've read a lot of people saying it's the worst episode and stuff, which is just not true. Of course the show changed a lot after that, concerning to acting and editing, but it was great and after it just got better and better!

The first episode is very good, the other are just even better.

yes the pilot is amazing. it just full of meaningful things, like the R/R moments. it may have its flaws, as in the lighting (it's so dark hehe) but to me it's perfect! i can bet a million dollars that those people that say it was the worst weren't fans since the beginning!!!
