17th year of FRIENDS

it's been 17 years since FRIENDS started! what, for you, is the best thing that Friends has done to your life?? :))))

I think, for me, it's when I feel so low and all I do is watch those six be there for each other then I'll be fine already!! they've been like my real friends for making me laugh when I need to... :)))

Happy birthday to Friends. They've given me some of the best moments of my life. I envy my sister, going into Friends clueless (I went in knowing Mondler and the Lobsters were going to happen)... she can experience everything as it was meant to be. Friends has given me hope and ambition.

I posted something about it on the inspiration thread: Friends was never just a TV show for me. It inspires me in all aspects of my life, it makes me feel better when I'm down and it shows me that life doesn't have to be terrible. Those six have been more friends for me than my real ones sometimes. I aspire to be like Rachel and the way she developed throughout the years, like Chandler and Mon and their lovely relationship, like Ross and his professionalism and ambition, like Pheebs and her way of seeing the world and her open mind and like Joey and his child spirit and inocence. They make me feel more secure and happy about myself and they make me laugh no matter when or what.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is how much I love Friends and that I wish there will be a lot other anniversaries to come, because as long as we remember them, they'll always be there for us.

Friends showed me that any problem has its solution, any good situation is better when you are with loved ones and that sad moments, seprataions and goodbyes are not forever. it really makes (because it still does it!) me feel inspired to live and go for the things I want in life :)

^Very well said both. I can't add anything to those words, they're so right. I think there isn't another comedy show out there that stays so funny no matter how many times you've seen it. And how there still are so many passionate fans after all those years, is amazing.

FRIENDS has done soooo much for me! Whenever I am depressed, or having a bad day, I literally go to FRIENDS! I put on the show and it makes me forget everything and feel so much better! It makes me laugh, it makes me happy... I love this show dearly! It's not just an obsession!
